In September, 2004 we decided to arrange a reunion wth the crew and a visit to
relatives in Colorado. We visited family in Washington and then drove through Montana and
Wyoming to meet with the crew in Rapid City, South Dakaota. There were only three members
and wives and we were joined by son, Del, and his wife, Lynn.
We all visited the airbase
and Mt. Rushmore and other attractions. Then, for us, on to Colorado, Wyoming,Utah, Idaho
and Oregon. The slideshow presents snapshots of the airbase, Custer National Park, bronze
statuary, an Alpenfest in Joseph, OR and the Wallowa Lake. |
