Community Flu Shot Clinic
Pioneer Telephone, in partnership with Safeway Pharmacy, will host a “flu” shot clinic on:
October 15th
10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Philomath office only.
Pharmacy staff will be on hand to administer the vaccinations. The cost for each vaccination is $28.00 (cash or check will be accepted).
Influenza (“flu”) is a contagious disease which spreads from infected persons to the nose and throat of others. Health officials recommend annual vaccinations for those who are either at high risk for developing complications or are in contact with those at high risk.
Who should be vaccinated?
• Adults and children with chronic medical conditions
• People 50 years of age and older
• Women who will be pregnant during the influenza season
• Children 6 – 59 months of age
• Residents of long-term care facilities and nursing homes
• Anyone in contact with persons of high-risk including; health-care personnel, household contacts and caregivers
Vaccination is considered to be the single best way to protect yourself and your loved ones against influenza, and the vaccine does NOT give you the flu. So take advantage of Pioneer’s community flu shot clinic and get vaccinated.
