2008 Youth Tour Winner
Each year, Pioneer Telephone Cooperative sends a local high school junior to represent Pioneer at the Foundation for Rural Service Youth Tour in Washington D.C. This year's Youth Tour winner was Teri Bartlow.
Teri will be a senior at Philomath High School. She has been her Class President for the past 3 years, a member of the National Honors Society and she is a local church youth group volunteer. Teri visited Washington D.C. and got a firsthand look at the telecommunications industry and learned about government processes. She also visied the Washington Monument and the Smithsonian Institution, along with other sites.
Teri applied for the 2008 Youth Tour because it has been a dream of hers to visit Washington, D.C. Teri says, "I loved the opportunity to visit D.C., see the beautiful historical sites and learn as much as possible.”
